The world champions’ circuit

In Spain there are a great many racetracks, so why do the best Formula 1 teams and the best Moto GP riders do their tests in Jerez during the winter months? First of all because the weather is at its most reliable in the south of Spain. Additionally because there is no better racetrack in Spain as far as roadway arrangement and safety are concerned. In the close vicinity you can stay at the hotel La Cueva and it is only a few minutes’ drive to Jerez de la Frontera. Whether you would like to go shopping or enjoy an evening in the city: Jerez is worth a visit. The airport is located only 10 kilometres from the racetrack.

Five days of riding your bike in the sunny south of Spain! Here in Jerez, the temperatures in winter a usually between 10 and 20 degrees Celsius. For accompanying persons there is for example Sevilla that is worth a visit with its many attractions. Also Gibraltar is only 120 kilometres away.

You may arrive individually to this event. The paddock and pit area have been renovated only a few years ago. We have enough pits and a huge paddock at our disposal. There are sufficient sanitary facilities on site.

We only hold race events in Jerez.

Here you can print out a plan of the circuit.

Either along the coast or without toll charges via Barcelona, Zaragossa, Madrid and Toledo to Sevillia. From Sevillia continue towards Cadiz. At the exit Jerez, follow the signs for “Circuito de Velocidad”. Approx. 5 kilometres after the exit to Arcos on the national highway you come to a fuel station on the right-hand side. Take the next exit to the right after that.

Hotels:

Hotel La Cueva:  This is a 4-star hotel. A breakfast buffet is included in the price. The hotel offers a restaurant, hotel bar and pool (but at this time of year it is too cold for swimming). It is approx. 8 km from here to the town centre, but only a few hundred metres to the race track. We can offer you discount prices in this hotel. Reservations can be made at smarin@hotellacueva.com using the subject line "pro speed".
